Restaurant & Bar
Our restaurant caters for non residents and residents alike. Our food is contemporary modern British and we are proud of the fact that everything is cooked fresh and made from local GM free and where possible, organically reared produce. Our speciality is fresh seafood supplied from Brixham, Salcombe and Plymouth and we go to considerable trouble to ensure that the fish is of the best quality money can buy. Our Seafood platter has become especially popular. Our trip advisor reports on the quality and popularity of the food will probably say more than we can.

Hotel Facilities
Sea View Terrace

Our terrace faces south and west and gets the beautiful Devon sunshine all day long. The perfect place to enjoy a cool beer, a cream tea or one of our light lunches while taking in the lovely view out to sea and over the valley towards Inner Hope. Weather permitting we often find that our guests prefer to eat on the terrace in the evening al fresco rather than eat indoors.....a sunset with a glass of good wine and our freshly caught fish is an excellent experience.
Phones

Mobile phones will not work in Hope Cove! For most people this is a blessing but for those that cannot bear to be separated from the outside world you have to resort to walking uphill to Bolt Tail until you find a signal. We do have a payphone in the Hotel to allow you to "check in" with family and friends.
Parking

We have our own car park with 14 marked bays which is free to hotel and restaurant guests.
South West Coastal Path

We are on the South West Coast path and have an arrangement with a baggage collection company for those doing the long distance walk. For those who are less athletic or just prefer a gentle stroll, we are 45 mins walk from Thurlstone sands and the famous Thurlstone Arch. In the other direction there is a short walk from the hotel up on to Bolt Tail and back through the old village of Inner Hope (about an Hour). We often see Atlantic Grey Seals from Bolt Tail but even if you dont the contrats of the rugged cliff coastline to the tranquil waters of Hope Cove is worth seeing. For those who like a bit more adventure the walk to Salcombe from Hope Cove takes about 4 hours and covers some of the best bits of the South Devon Coast. We find many of our guests do this walk and take a taxi back from Salcombe (usually about £12 with Moonraker taxis and finsh off with a well deserved cream tea on our terrace.
Family & Pet Friendly

We welcome well behaved children and pets. Pets are welcome anywhere in the hotel except the restaurant. Guests are permitted to leave pets unattended in rooms while eating but we ask not to allow them onto the beds - fresh WHITE(!!!) linen. Thoses guests who cannot trust their pets not to sneak on to the beds duing mealtimes often leave them in the car. We do have a small conservatory which allows guests to eat supper with their dog at their feet but booking is absolutely essential.
Wireless Internet Access

We have free wireless internet access throughout the ground floor of the hotel provided by walkinwifi. All that is required is a simple and quick registration process and then you are free to surf the web.
The Lounge

Our spacious lounge and bar is open light and airy, the perfect spot to enjoy a light lunch or a pint of our local ale or cider. Our draught real ale (Shingle Bay) is supplied by Quercus Breweries based in Churchstow 3 miles away and our draght Cider is supplied by Thatcherscider.
In the Autumn and Spring time we will light our log burning stove to take the chill off the evening and we find many who are content to warm their toes with a glass of wine after a good meal in our restaurant. We have a 42" television in the lounge and watch it for all of the major sporting events (especially the Rugby matches).
